Private-label hoodie manufacturer in Turkey: a sample brief for brands

When choosing a private-label hoodie manufacturer in Turkey, ask for a sample that resolves the hood, neckline, rib, pocket and closure together—not just the body measurements. Send a tech pack or marked reference garment, define the fabric face and back, and list quantities, branding and packing. Approve the complete garment against recorded fit and care-review criteria before releasing bulk production.

Choose the hoodie format before discussing fabric weight

State whether the design is a pullover, full zip or another defined opening. Identify regular, oversized or cropped proportions with finished measurements and drawings. A reference photograph can communicate mood, but it cannot establish hood depth, sleeve shape, pocket dimensions or the way the hem should sit.

This brief addresses adult fashion hoodies. A children's product or a garment with a protection claim needs a separate safety and compliance assessment for its intended market. Do not carry cord, trim or construction decisions from an adult reference into another product category without that review.

Describe both sides of the fabric

Specify composition, construction, target finished weight, colour route and desired surface. Include a physical reference for the face and interior where possible. CottonWorks distinguishes French terry from fleece through brushing or napping of the interior loops. A request for soft fabric should therefore say whether the buyer wants an exposed loop back or a raised interior.

Ask the supplier to identify the proposed fabric article and finishing route. Compare candidate materials as finished samples rather than assume that a heavier fabric is always the better choice. The commercial fabric name does not establish shrinkage, pilling, colourfastness, certification or suitability for the buyer's decoration.

Review hood volume and neckline balance on the wearer

Mark hood height, depth, opening and overlap on the drawing, together with panel layout, lining or self-fabric layers and edge finish. Show how the hood attaches at the neck. State whether the design includes a cord or hardware, and have the relevant product requirements reviewed before these components are approved.

At the sample review, check the hood up and down. Record whether it restricts the intended movement, pulls at the front neck, sits unevenly or changes the shoulder balance. Give comments against a measurement or drawing callout; 'make the hood better' is not an actionable revision.

Approve cuffs and hem rib with the body fabric

Define rib composition, structure, finished depth and attachment. Record the cuff opening and hem width in both the measurement chart and construction notes. Ask the development team to explain the proposed rib-to-body relationship rather than copying a ratio from a different fabric or silhouette.

Try the sample with the intended layering and movement. Check whether the cuff passes over the hand as intended and whether the hem holds, flares or pulls the body upward. Recheck appearance after the agreed care trial. If the rib changes, review fit, colour and attachment again before treating the earlier sample as valid.

Make pocket and zipper decisions measurable

For a kangaroo pocket, mark width, height, opening, placement and reinforcement positions. For split pockets on a zip hoodie, show their alignment relative to the closure and hem. Check access with the garment worn and consider how the pocket intersects with artwork or labels.

For a zip style, identify the proposed zipper reference, length, opening direction, tape colour, puller and internal finish. Open and close the sample, compare left and right front lengths, and inspect the front when flat and worn. Record waviness, twisting or uneven alignment before and after care; do not approve only the hardware in isolation.

Place branding around seams and openings

Send the artwork revision, finished dimensions, measured placement and colourway mapping. Make clear whether artwork crosses a pocket, zipper or panel seam. Ask for a production-representative proof or sample so the buyer can assess how those features affect the intended image.

Include main, size and care labels, hangtags, barcodes and packaging in the component list. For embroidery, examine the reverse and its contact with the wearer. Record any backing, lining or finishing requirement in the product file instead of leaving it to an unrecorded preference.

Use a hoodie-specific sample decision sheet

Identify the sample, fabric and component revisions and the size reviewed. Agree care conditions and acceptance criteria before comparing measurements. Review body and sleeve dimensions, hood balance, cuff and hem behaviour, pocket symmetry, closure, shade, decoration and seam appearance as one product.

Close each finding as approved, revise and resubmit, or held pending evidence. Separate an aesthetic change from a defect and state which document must be updated. If the fabric, rib, zipper or finish changes, identify the approvals affected rather than assuming that an unchanged style code means an unchanged garment.

Prepare the commercial request for Konsey Textile

Konsey Textile's public custom-production workflow covers review of buyer construction, measurements, fabric direction, colourways, trims and branding before patterns and samples. It also describes coordination of cutting, sewing, printing or embroidery requirements, finishing, inspection and packaging for the agreed programme.

Send that team the hoodie format, controlled tech pack or marked reference, quantities by colour and size, destination and required sample decisions. Ask which material and production route is feasible and request an itemised response. This guide does not imply a stocked hoodie range, a guaranteed weight range, fixed minimum quantities, price, capacity, delivery time or certification; confirm the actual programme before committing.

Sources and further reading

Source scope checked on 20 October 2026. References support the technical context; product-specific methods and acceptance criteria must be agreed for the programme.

One practical zip-hoodie review

A buyer likes the body fit but finds that the zipper front waves after washing. Keep the sample and material references, photograph the result, record the care conditions and ask the development team to assess the body, zipper and assembly together. Require a revised sample decision before the affected bulk operation is released.

  • Fabric, rib and zipper references
  • Before-and-after care evidence
  • Corrective revision and named approval

FAQ

Questions buyers ask

What should a private-label hoodie brief include?+

Include the opening format, silhouette, fabric face and interior, finished measurements, hood, rib, pockets, zipper if used, artwork, labels, packing and quantities by colour and size.

What is the difference between French terry and brushed fleece for a hoodie?+

French terry has an un-napped looped back, while brushing or napping creates a raised fleece interior. Confirm the exact fabric article and review the finished garment rather than relying on the name alone.

What should I check on a zip hoodie sample?+

Check hood and neck balance, front lengths, zipper operation and alignment, pocket symmetry, rib behaviour, measurements and appearance before and after the agreed care trial.

Can a manufacturer quote a hoodie from a photo alone?+

A photo can start the conversation, but a comparable quotation needs defined materials, measurements, construction, components, quantities, branding, packing and delivery scope. Record unresolved details as assumptions.
