Activewear manufacturer in Turkey: how to prepare a product brief
Activewear development starts with use. A training top, legging, sports bra or performance layer requires a brief that explains movement, fit, support, construction and the product experience the brand wants to test.
Describe the activity and intended wearer
State the activity, climate, season and user expectations behind the garment. Explain whether the item is designed for training, running, studio use, layering or everyday athleisure so material and construction questions have a clear context.
Add the target fit, coverage, compression or ease direction in the tech pack or notes. Product photos alone rarely communicate the decisions that make activewear feel right in use.
Specify fabric and construction questions
Give the intended composition, construction, weight or hand feel where known. Include stretch, recovery, opacity, seam placement, waistband, lining, pockets, fastening and finishing requirements that affect the style.
If you are evaluating material attributes, keep product claims separate from a broad fabric description. Any customer-facing wording should be checked against the documentation applicable to the selected order.
Build brand components into the brief
Logos, print or embroidery files, labels, care information, packaging and placement notes belong in the same product file. They should be reviewed on a sample, not added after the garment has been approved.
A complete brief lets the brand see how performance details and visual identity work together before a production plan is considered.
Test a sample against actual use
Sample feedback should cover movement, fit, fabric feel, seam comfort, opacity, recovery and placement of branded details. Capture comments in writing against a named component or measurement.
This testing process is more informative than a generic ‘good quality’ note because it connects the next development action to how the product is intended to perform.
