Describe the work environment and garment function

Explain who will wear the garment, what tasks they perform, whether it is for indoor or outdoor use and how seasonal conditions affect the product. This context guides the conversation around silhouette, layers, pockets, fastenings and material direction.

List each garment family separately: polo, shirt, trouser, jacket, vest or outer layer. A uniform programme is easier to assess when every product has its own purpose and construction notes.

Plan sizing and branding as operational details

Provide the size range, fit preference, wearer groups and any measurement data available. Include logo files, placement instructions, embroidery or print requirements, labels and packaging needs in the same brief.

Branding should be reviewed on a sample because placement, scale and legibility depend on the actual garment construction and material.

Use samples for practical review

Check the sample for fit, mobility, pocket function, stitching, fastenings, fabric feel, logo application, labels and packaging. Capture feedback as measurable, written changes that a product team can use.

Keep the approved garment and final specification together. This provides a more reliable reference if additional sizes, departments or repeat orders are discussed later.

Send a clear enquiry

Include garment categories, intended use, size range, quantities, branding files, destination and any preferred material direction. State which decisions are still open so the manufacturer knows where technical input is needed.
